Nottingham man unable to get his car out amid daily fly-tipping

A Nottingham man says he would be too ashamed to have anyone over at his house because of fly-tipping which he says is happening on a daily basis. Kevin Draper, 59, lives in the Hyson Green area of the city with his wife and son and has recently been photographing the extent of the fly tipping on Brushfield Street every morning.

Maggots were recently spotted crawling over some of the rubbish bags that had been left on the street. Mr Draper said that the problem had been ongoing for some years.

He said: "There's a car park on Brushfield Street and there was a fly-tipping problem going back five or six years so gates were put up to stop it. But what they have been doing since then is just leaving rubbish at the front of the gates.
