Nottingham Forest are reportedly waiting 'in the background' for Inter Milan striker Andrea Pinamonti.
The Reds have already made initial contact over a potential deal to sign the Italian as they look to bring in another striker to bolster Steve Cooper's attacking options. Cooper has signed Taiwo Awoniyi for a club-record fee of £17.5million and Pinamonti is now the latest to be linked with a move to the City Ground.
Pinamonti made the switch to the Italian side from Genoa in 2020. However, he was loaned out to Empoli last season as he failed to cement his place in the squad.

After making 36 Serie A outings for Empoli and scoring 13 goals, he is not short of potential suitors, with Sassuolo and Atalanta also keen to sign him. Atalanta is reportedly the player's preferred destination, but they are struggling to meet the demands of his transfer fee of €20million (£16.7 million).
Following the Reds' initial contact, they are now hanging around 'in the background' and monitoring the striker's situation, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The 23-year-old is under contract at the San Siro Stadium until 2024.
