Transfer 'increasingly unlikely'
Nottingham Forest look like they have missed out on signing Morroco international Walid Cheddira as a Premier League transfer for the striker is reportedly 'increasingly unlikely'.
Cheddira, 24, made a pair of appearances for Morocco during their run to the World Cup semi-finals. The centre-forward came on as a substitute in the two previous rounds against, first Spain and then Portugal in the quarter-finals, but was shown two yellow cards in the space of two minutes in the latter, meaning the player was suspended for the match against France.

The striker now has one more chance to impress in the third-place play-off against Croatia on Saturday before returning to his club side Bari, who play in the Italian second division. After scoring 14 goals in 15 matches so far this season, a step up to the top-flight seems imminent.
Futures in doubt
Head coach Steve Cooper will soon have the chance to make a few tweaks to his Nottingham Forest squad, with January just around the corner.
The winter transfer window will not be anywhere near as busy as the Reds' summer one, when 22 signings were made and a number of players headed in the opposite direction. But the club will look to do some business as they battle to secure top-flight survival.
That might also involve a few departures. With that in mind, we have taken a look at some of those players who could head elsewhere in January.
Midfielder transfer response
Nottingham Forest have had a bid rejected for Salernitana midfielder Lassana Coulibaly, according to a report.
It was said that Forest tabled an offer last week as the club look to continue their extensive recruitment drive which saw 23 players signed in the summer transfer window.
Forest have already announced the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Gustavo Scarpa ahead of the January market opening, with a host of players already being linked to the football club in recent months and weeks.
Jesse Lingard admission
Nottingham Forest midfielder Jesse Lingard admits that he does not know what the future holds for him at the club after signing on a free transfer from Manchester United last summer.
Lingard, 30, signed just a one-year contract when completing a move to the City Ground in July. That means, in theory, the player could begin negotiating with clubs outside of England as soon as New Year's Day ahead of potentially signing a pre-contract agreement to secure a move overseas at the end of this season.
The former England international has made 14 appearances for the Reds to date, finally scoring his first goal while wearing Garibaldi against Tottenham Hotspur during the Carabao Cup third round tie. Lingard also assisted his first goal for a teammate earlier in that match, setting up Atlético Madrid loanee Renan Lodi for the opener in what ended up being a 2-0 win.
