Nottingham Forest will have an option to buy defender Loic Bade for £12million at the end of his impending loan deal, it has been reported.
The Reds are closing in on a season-long loan move for the Rennes defender, who looks set to become head coach Steve Cooper's 20th signing of the summer this evening. He will be the second centre-back to arrive today following the signing of Willy Boly, which was confirmed this morning.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Forest will have a £12m buy option clause in the loan deal, which they will be able to activate next summer if he hits the ground running in the Premier League. Romano tweeted: "Nottingham Forest are set to sign Loïc Badé on loan with buy option from Rennes. Buy option clause will be worth £12m."

When asked about incomings this morning, Cooper said : “I think so, and I hope so. There’s nothing, at this moment, to say in terms of confirmation.
“Things are going on. There can be a little bit of a scramble on deadline day, not just for us, but for any club. We are certainly trying to do a few things. Some might come off. None of it might come off. We’ll wait and see. But we’re trying, that’s for sure.
“I can’t put a number on how many. If there is, it’s only going to be a couple, of course."
