Bring on Sunday
Nottingham Forest have been handed a boost ahead of the weekend after Everton suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat at Arsenal.
The Toffees found themselves 2-0 down at the break with goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli before Martin Odegaard extended the scoreline in the 71st minute and Martinelli struck again nine minutes later to consign them to their second loss in the space of five days.
The result leaves Everton third from bottom in the Premier League drop zone on 21 points, four points behind the Reds who host Sean Dyche’s men at the City Ground on Sunday in a big relegation six-pointer.

Red not on Ray's relegation radar
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has predicted who he thinks is destined for the drop this season as Nottingham Forest prepare for their huge relegation six-pointer this weekend.
Forest are currently 13th in the Premier League, four points above second and third from bottom Bournemouth and Everton who are on 21, with bottom club Southampton trailing on 18.
Parlour, however, is not even considering Steve Cooper's men as contenders.
Sean Dyche drops James Garner hint
Former Nottingham Forest star James Garner could return to face his old side after a lengthy injury when they host Everton this weekend.
The ex-Manchester United midfielder enjoyed successive loan spells at the City Ground, helping the Reds win promotion via the Championship play-offs last season. He was heavily linked with a permanent move to the club in the summer, but instead joined the Toffees for a reported £9million with add-ons.
The transfer has not gone to plan, however. He has been sidelined with a back injury since November, limiting him to just six Premier League appearances this term.
Forest loan keeper defended
On-loan Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Ethan Horvath has been defended after his error at the beginning of Luton Town's championship clash at home to Millwall.
A tame shot from Zian Flemming went straight through the American to give the away side the lead in the fourth minute. The match ended 2-2, with Horvath's team sitting in the play-off places, two points clear of seventh-placed Norwich City.
The error from the Reds keeper was the first goal conceded by the 27-year-old from open play in seven games. Horvath was looking to extend that run past the 11-hour mark before his mistake.
Forest sent transfer message
Nottingham Forest have been told they could be left disappointed in their reported chase for defender Andrew Omobamidele.
The Norwich City defender has been linked with a move to the City Ground this summer as the Reds look to strengthen their squad for what they hope will be a second successive season in the top flight.
But former Forest midfielder Carlton Palmer believes a move for the 20-year-old may depend on the outcome of the Canaries season, with Norwich battling to secure a place in the Premier League themselves. David Wagner's side are currently two points outside the Championship play-off places.
