Wolfsburg are reportedly 'set to sign' Sweden international midfielder Mattias Svanberg which could pave the way for the potential exit of Aster Vranckx, who Nottingham Forest 'hope to sign'.
The Belgium under-21 international is also apparently attracting interest from the Reds ' Premier League rivals Everton on the back of his debut season in the Bundesliga. Vranckx made 28 appearances across all competitions after arriving from KV Mechelen in his homeland for around £6.7 million.
At just 19 years old, the central midfielder has already been exposed to the Champions League after featuring four times during the group stages against Lille, Red Bull Salzburg and Sevilla as Wolfsburg bowed out in the group stages.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano is reporting that a potential Vranckx replacement in Svanberg is 'set to sign' from Italian club Bologna. It is also added that their chief executive Claudio Fenucci has confirmed the midfielder was due to undergo medical tests on Thursday.
Should Svanberg, a seasoned international with over 20 caps for Sweden, sign, then that could be the first step in Vranckx making a move to the Premier League. The teenager is also represented by DW Sports Management, who are no strangers to getting moves to England for their clients with Mohamed Elneny ( Arsenal ), Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Samuel Kalu (both Watford), Peter Etebo ( Stoke City ) and Terence Kongolo ( Fulham ) all calling the country home.
