Nottingham Forest told what Fulham's game plan will be for key City Ground clash

Defender Tim Ream says Fulham will try to use a packed City Ground to their advantage when they make the trip to face Nottingham Forest on Friday night.

For Steve Cooper’s Reds, the meeting with the Cottagers is a chance to end a three-match losing run ahead of the international break. They were toppled 3-2 by Bournemouth on the banks of the Trent last time out, and will be eager to put that result firmly behind them when they take on their fellow promoted side.

The atmosphere at home games during Cooper’s time in charge has often been electric, but Ream believes the visitors can work the crowd in their favour, if they can make a positive start on Friday.

Asked if Fulham can feed off the atmosphere against Forest, the American told FFCtv: “Absolutely. We approach every match the same way. We’re going to go and try to get three points.

“We know that if we can get on top early, the way a lot of the fans are when we go to these places, they can turn quickly if you have a good start. We like to use that to our advantage. We like to start quick, as evidenced in our first six games.

“We’re going to use that. And try to use that crowd against them.

“We’re looking to go there and take three points, and go into the international break on an even better run, in terms of performances and points. That can put us in a really good position coming out of the international break, with a lot of good, competitive games against teams who are in and around mid-table or lower.

“It’s going to be important. It’s an important game on Friday night, and we want to take as many points as possible. We’ll look to do that going into the international break.”
