Nottingham Forest told they could face 'heavy fine'

Former Premier League referee Keith Hackett expects Nottingham Forest and Derby County to be charged by the Football Association.

He believes both clubs failed to control their players at the end of Saturday's East Midlands derby.

Several players and substitutes were involved in a fracas at the City Ground after the full-time whistle was blown by referee Tim Robinson.

No players from either side were booked for the incident, though the game saw seven yellow cards in total.

Robinson also gave a straight red card to Derby County substitute Ravel Morrison in stoppage time at the end of the match.

Hackett now believes that both Forest and Derby can expect charges from the FA.

“The Football Association will charge both clubs for failing to control their players,” Hackett told Football Insider.

Referring to the Rams' financial crisis, he added: “That’s the last thing that Derby County want. A simple thing like that could be a heavy fine.

“When they are short of cash, it can lead to other things.

"The whole scenario that surrounds Derby County is horrendous and could follow the path of Bury.”

On the scenes after full-time, Derby boss Rooney told the media: "It is an emotional game, a local derby.

"I know players get frustrated when they feel it is the wrong decision against them, but I am fully with him [Morrison], and the players, I support them.

"Of course we need to behave in the right way, but it shows the players are fighting and care, and that they are giving everything to try and help this club."
