Bayern Munich full-back Omar Richards is set to undergo a medical before signing for Nottingham Forest.
Steve Cooper's squad is starting to take shape ahead of the Reds' Premier League return in four weeks time, and Richards will be a solid addition for the club. The former Reading defender is expected to sign for Forest in a deal worth €10million, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
In an update on Richards' transfer to the City Ground, Romano wrote on Twitter: "Nottingham Forest and Bayern are closing on final details for Omar Richards deal this weekend. €10m fee, talks at the final stages. #NFFC Once details are sorted out, Omar will undergo medicals and sign with Nottingham Forest."

Richards will become Forest's fifth signing of the summer window, while the club are also closing in on a move for £17million-rated Wales right-back Neco Williams from Liverpool. Forest been one of the busier Premier League clubs in the summer window, having recruited four players for a combined £36million.
Taiwo Awoniyi was first through the door, and was swiftly followed by Giulian Biancone, Moussa Niakhate and the loan signing of Dean Henderson from Manchester United. Forest boss Cooper has insisted that he needs more support from above, as the club prepare for their top-flight return, and Richards is another shrewd acquisition.
Asked whether much more transfer business is likely, he told NottinghamshireLive after the 3-1 opening friendly defeat to Coventry City: "We have to. We’ve got to get the balance right between building on last year - the way we played, the togetherness, the spirit, the identity - but everyone knows the five loans have gone back and we want to improve the squad.
"We’ve had a decent start, in terms of bringing players in. But it’s only a start. We need to bring a lot more in, for sure. Changes were always going to happen. Whatever happened at the end of the season, the five loans were going to go back and there was no guarantee that we were going to get any of them back. So changes are not a surprise.
"It’s a challenge, of course. But it’s always a challenge, putting a squad together for a season, whatever league you play in - and obviously ours is a bit bigger challenge now, because we’re playing in the Premier League. But we’re excited about it. We’ve started bringing players in, adding to the group already here who have been the main focus and the core. We have to keep that process going while every day improving, improving, improving."
