Nottingham Forest are now within two points of the Championship play-off zone after an excellent 4-0 home win over Reading.
The Reds showed little sign of fatigue in their third match in eight days as a second-half blitz pushed Steve Cooper's side closer to the top six.
Keinan Davis gave the hosts the lead inside the first 60 seconds at the City Ground as he drilled home Djed Spence's pass, but the Reds' tempo was below-par for most of the first half and they entered the interval just 1-0 up.
It took the home side until the hour-mark to further increase their lead against a Reading side struggling for points in the Championship.
Davis, enjoying a run of brilliant form in recent weeks, doubled the Reds ' lead when he forced a Forest attack forwards before hammering from the edge of the box.
Ryan Yates added a third for Forest when he stunned the City Ground with a 25-yard strike that flew past Reading shot-stopper Luke Southwood; substitute Sam Surridge also got in on the act with his second goal in as many games to secure the points for Cooper's side.
Four goals, a clean sheet and three points will be a huge positive for Cooper, but the Reds boss suffered two minor blows with Steve Cook and Max Lowe being forced off with injuries.
This is what some Nottingham Forest fans had to say on social media at full-time...
