There is a "99% chance" that Nottingham Forest loanee Renan Lodi will not return to Atletico Madrid this summer, according to a report.
Lodi is currently on loan at Forest until the end of the season, but is scheduled to return to his parent club once the campaign ends with Sunday's trip to Crystal Palace.
The left-back has made 31 appearances in the Premier League this season, hitting a fine run of form in recent weeks. He earned even more admiration from supporters when he burst into tears after the Reds stayed up with victory against Arsenal over the weekend.

Now according to journalist Matteo Moretto, there is a "99% chance" Lodi will not return to La Liga this season, despite him being under contract at Atletico Madrid until the summer of 2026.
Moretto also reports that Forest's option to buy Lodi permanently for €30million has now expired, meaning his future beyond this summer is up in the air. It remains to be seen whether Forest will look to make his stay at the City Ground permanent.
Taking to his Instagram page over the weekend, Lodi sent a message to supporters that read: "Yesterday I was crying due to many reasons. There were many sacrifices during this journey. I choose to change teams, countries, my life...
"I was just looking for more minutes to go to the World Cup, but what I found was a place that welcomed me and made me feel so special. And it was not easy at all. I knew it would be difficult but not as much as it was... I came to a club with huge ambitions and with a crowd looking for their deserved space on this amazing league.
"And I struggled a lot at the beginning. I lost my primary goal, [going to the World Cup] but I suddenly found another greater goal - to keep the club and the fans where they deserve to be.
"During the 31 matches I played, I felt the same as you feel when you are in the City Ground. I felt the need to keep this club where it deserves. And yesterday, we did it!"
Should Forest sign Lodi permanently this summer? Let us know in the comments.
