Here’s the latest Nottingham Forest news on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, following the massive 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Premier League dream is on
Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Nottingham Forest have guaranteed themselves a top-six finish - at the very least. But they are not done yet.
A huge victory at Fulham, coupled with Bournemouth drawing against Swansea City , has cut the gap between the two teams to just three points. With three games to play. And with that mouth-watering clash at the Vitality Stadium to come next week. The battle for second is on. The Reds are making sure of that. And you wouldn’t bet against them getting over the line, with the way they are playing.

‘Something special’ happening at Forest
Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall believes that the team can achieve ‘something special’ at the end of the season as Steve Cooper’s men took a massive step towards the Premier League.
The Reds came out as 1-0 winners over already-promoted Fulham on Tuesday night, Philip Zinckernagel’s goal proving to be the difference between the two sides. That three points paired with Bournemouth’s 3-3 draw against Swansea City means that a top-two finish is now in Forest’s hands.
Three wins from all of their final three games will see Steve Cooper ’s side play Premier League football next season. That is due to one of the game being against the Cherries as Forest travel down to the South coast next week.
Bournemouth fans fume
AFC Bournemouth's fightback at Swansea City gained Scott Parker's side a valuable point but Nottingham Forest still have it in their hands to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Bournemouth went 2-0 down to Swansea after only 12 minutes thanks to a brace from red-hot Joel Piroe. Former Forest right-back Cyrus Christie added a third just before the hour mark with a goal that should have put the match beyond Bournemouth, who remain in second place but are teetering on the edge of the automatic promotion spots after the 3-3 draw in South Wales with goals from Kieffer Moore (2) and Dominic Solanke rescuing a point.
