Nottingham Forest's Premier League relegation rivals Leicester City have appointed former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith until the end of the season.
Smith will be joined by John Terry and former Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare as his assistants. The decision comes in the wake of the sacking of Brendan Rodgers.
Leicester are two points behind Forest in the table and have not won since beating Tottenham 4-1 in February. Caretaker managers Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell have overseen the Foxes' previous two matches, a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa and a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

@Forest_Review: That’s Southampton and Leicester confirmed (R). One more spot available, 8 cup finals remaining. #NFFC
@York5001: Dean Smith at Villa, 2020: 2 points from 10 games left them 4 points from safety. Then 7 points taken from last 4 games to stay in PL #NFFC
Russell Sprout: Obviously preparing for Championship football.
Jacques Prince: Just bizarre. But who knows.
Peter Moody: The football world has gone mad!
Steve Rovetto: That spells trouble for Forest he’ll save them, us and West ham are the only 2 teams in the bottom 9 that haven’t changed their manager. I think we will go down but we have to stick with Cooper to come back stronger.
Trevor MC Tobias Cashmore: Hopefully carry on the good work that Brendan Rodgers has done.
