Nottingham Forest have "opened talks" with Manchester United over a loan move for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The 25-year-old is said to be looking for a move away from Old Trafford as he seeks regular first team football in the Premier League. He did not feature once in the Premier League last season and only made 13 appearances in the top flight the season before that.
Forest's reported interest comes after Reds stopper Brice Samba rejected a new contract with the club. He has been linked with a move to France and it seems likely that he will move on this summer.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: " Nottingham Forest have opened talks with Manchester United to sign Dean Henderson on loan with option to buy [around £20m].
"Negotiations ongoing - Nottingham Forest want Henderson and it’s now a possibility also considered by the player. Talks on."
However, if Henderson were to join on loan, it would end Forest's hopes of signing James Garner on a temporary basis. Premier League rules state that teams are not able to sign more than one player on loan from the same club. So if Steve Cooper was to sign Henderson on loan, he could not sign Garner on loan as well.
Forest could still try to sign Garner, or indeed Henderson, on a permanent basis and loan in the other. But that would leave only one loan spot as Premier League clubs can only have a total of two loan signings in their squad at any one time.
