Nottingham Forest man receives ‘incredible’ response after injury update

Nottingham Forest fans have responded to the latest injury update from Giulian Biancone as the full-back steps up his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury.

The summer signing played just two Premier League games before suffering the injury in training in late October. Reds’ manager Steve Cooper confirmed that it will see him miss the rest of the season.

Biancone underwent surgery shortly after and is now stepping up his recovery in Italy as he aims to get back as soon as possible. After promising to keep fans updated on his progress, the player has been posting regular updates on social media.

The latest appears to show a big step in his recovery. The full-back posted a 30 second clip of him running on a treadmill with the caption ‘on the way!’

Biancone however will not be able to make his comeback this season should he recover more quickly than initially expected. He was one of a few players to be excluded from the club’s 25-man Premier League squad following the January transfer window.

He will look to recover in time for pre-season with the hope that the Reds will be playing Premier League football again in the 2023/24 campaign. Forest currently sit in 13th place in the league, six points clear of the bottom three.
