Nottingham Forest are said to be among a number of Premier League clubs tracking Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo.
It is a big summer transfer window for the Reds as Steve Cooper's side prepare for life in the top-flight, having clinched promotion at Wembley last Sunday. And part of their plans will see them look to add more firepower to the squad.
There is uncertainty over the future of Lewis Grabban as his contract comes to an end, while decisions will need to be made on fellow forwards Lyle Taylor and Nuno Da Costa, who have been out on loan. Forest do have Sam Surridge and Brennan Johnson in their ranks, and they are expected to try to bring Keinan Davis back to the City Ground after he impressed on loan from Aston Villa.

According to ESPN, they are also keen on Diallo, who joined Strasbourg from Metz in October 2020. At the time, the 26-year-old penned a five-year deal for a reported £9million fee.
But the Reds are not the only ones linked with a move, with “multiple Premier League clubs” eyeing him up. West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion are also said to be keen, while Leicester City and Borussia Mönchengladbach have previously been credited with an interest.
Diallo bagged 11 goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances this term. ESPN claim after winning the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, the Senegal international “feels he needs a bigger challenge - and the Premier League is where he dreams of playing”.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has said of the transfer window: "Now is the time to give Steve all the ammunition he needs, to be able to not only survive but bring some good results. We have to invest more.
“Everybody talks about the television rights and money that comes in, but it is not enough for clubs in the first year. That’s why we must not be the poorer relatives of the Premier League. We need to buy some good players and some that will make the difference and have the experience who know the division.”
