Former Nottingham Forest loanee Rafa Mir was on target against Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday night and gave Sevilla a 1-0 lead away at the Premier League champions.
The centre-forward spent five-and-a-half months at the City Ground during the first half of the 2019/20 season but made just 13 appearances across all competitions without scoring a single goal before the unsuccessful loan spell was cut short. After returning to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Mir was loaned back to his native Spain with Huesca for 18 months which led Sevilla to spend the best part of £14 million to sign the striker.
Now two season's into this spell in Andalucia, the former Spain youth international has scored on his return to England, much to the surprise of Reds supporters. Here is a selection of the social media reaction to Mir's goal.
