Nottingham Forest will reportedly have to pay a fee of £15 million to Aston Villa to make Keinan Davis’ loan move permanent this summer.
The striker made a big impact on Forest’s push for promotion to the Premier League in the second half of the season. He scored five times in 15 Championship appearances in the Garibaldi since joining on loan in the January transfer window.
After missing the final games of the season with a hamstring injury, Davis recovered in time to play a part in Forest’s success in the play-offs. After coming off the bench in both legs of the semi-final vs Sheffield United, he was named in the starting eleven for the showpiece final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The game ended in a 1-0 win to Forest, securing their place back in the Premier League for the first time in 23 years. Levi Colwill’s own goal just before half time, as he turned James Garner’s cross into his own net, was the difference between the two sides.
Davis has been a key figure in the celebrations at both Wembley and back in Nottingham just under 24 hours after promotion was secured. The on loan striker clearly enjoying himself in an event at Old Market Square on Monday afternoon.
After the celebrations die down, attention will turn to preparing the team for an assault on the Premier League. With the transfer window coming up, it will be an exciting time for Forest.

One of the situations to sort is the future of loan players, including Davis. Premier League rules means that teams are only allowed to register two loan players in their squad for the season.
It means that Forest could look to make some of those moves permanent, with Davis likely to be one deal that they look at. According to the Mirror , a bid of around £15 million to Villa will be enough to persuade the midlands club to do business.
Speaking to NottinghamshireLive , Davis' family revealed after the game that the striker feels ‘at home’ at the City Ground, something that would help in extending the striker’s stay at the club beyond the summer.
