Former Nottingham Forest star Djed Spence is available on loan in the January transfer window, but Tottenham Hotspur have a very clear condition for a deal to happen.
The wing-back is wanted by a number of Premier League clubs, including Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Brentford. He's also sought after in Europe, namely by Lyon and Bayer Leverkusen.
Brentford have put in an offer to bring him on loan to West London for the rest of the season. Spurs, however, have rejected this offer, according to our sister title football.london.

That's because the Bees want to include an obligation to buy Spence outright at the end of the loan deal, something Tottenham are not willing to consider. They want the player to gain valuable game time in a top league before returning to the club.
Spence has only made four appearances in the Premier League so far this season, all off the bench late in games. Despite his paucity of action Tottenham see him as a long-term signing and a mainstay for the future.
The 22-year-old played a key role in the Reds' promotion from the Championship last season. Forest wanted to sign him permanently in the summer, but he chose to leave Middlesbrough for Tottenham instead.
If Forest were inclined to bring him back, they could do so on loan again.
