Nottingham Forest are working to sign Real Betis left-back Alex Moreno, according to reports.
Moreno, 29 played a key role in Betis' successful fifth place finish last season, and in the club's Copa del Rey success. The Spaniard, who can also operate as a left winger, is 'believed to be open to the potential transfer' as per The Athletic.
The report states that both clubs have not long opened talks and have yet to agree terms on a deal but there is 'optimism' between the two parties that the transfer will be done. Moreno, who used to play for Barcelona, is still contracted at the Benito Villamarin for another three years after extending his stay last January.
