Nottingham Forest could be on the verge of signing Besiktas striker Cyle Larin.
The 27-year-old Canada international is leaving the Turkish club this summer after rejecting a new contract. His decision to leave has turned somewhat sour, with Larin deleting every picture related to Besiktas from his Instagram account. That reaction has led to Besiktas fans slamming the striker, calling him "ungrateful".
According to reports in Turkey, Larin will "sign for either" Forest or Olympiacos, with both clubs owned by Evangelos Marinakis. Talks between parties are said to be at an "advanced level" as the Canadian looks to secure the next chapter of his future.

To date, the highlight of his career was the 2020-21 season, when he scored 19 goals in 38 league games for Besiktas as they won the Turkish Super Lig. He only managed seven in 29 last term, though.
Larin has also scored 24 goals in 52 games for Canada, where he is an international teammate of Forest defender Richie Laryea. He is also the co-owner of semi-professional club Simcoe County Rovers of League1 Ontario.
Forest have also been linked with a move for Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis after he spent the second half of last season on loan at the City Ground. The Reds face competition from Watford, though Steve Cooper is leading the race for his signature.
