Nottingham Forest have ‘watched’ £18m striker as transfer activity continues

Nottingham Forest are reportedly one of eight clubs to have ‘watched’ forward Ludovic Ajorque as they weigh up whether to make a move for the player.

The Strasbourg man was in action against Liverpool last weekend, providing an assist as he side recorded a shock 3-0 win over Jurgen Klopp’s team. The game was a chance for suitors to keep an eye on the 28-year-old and how he got on versus Premier League opposition.

Forest have been one of the most active clubs in the transfer window so far this summer with Steve Cooper adding 12 new faces to his squad as the club prepares to play Premier League football, but it seems that the club are still on the lookout for potential new additions. According to Sky Sports , the Reds, along with Leicester City, Everton, West Ham, Fulham, Wolves, Bournemouth and Newcastle were all in attendance for Strasbourg’s game vs Liverpool to keep an eye on the 6ft 6in striker.

The Frenchman scored 12 goals and registered a further eight assists in Ligue 1 last season, and is said to be available for a fee of around £18 million. The departure of captain Lewis Grabban and the return of Keinan Davis to his parent club Aston Villa could mean that Cooper looks to further strengthen his attacking options this summer.

Forest did complete a record transfer for Taiwo Awoniyi earlier in the summer, but may look to add more depth come the start of the season as Forest have their eye on securing safety in the Premier League.

Awoniyi joined Nottingham Forest from Bundesliga side Union Berlin after scoring a total of 20 goals in all competitions last season.
