Nottingham Forest given transfer decision over £26m midfielder

Nottingham Forest are facing rejection after being linked with Switzerland international .

According to reports in Germany, the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder is available if his release clause of €30m (£26.4m) is met. Sow could yet remain with Frankfurt, who are chasing Champions League qualification, but with his contract due to expire next year, his club is open to sale this summer.

It was reported at the end of last year that Forest were among at least four Premier League clubs interested in the 26-year-old, who represented his country at the recent World Cup in Qatar.

It is claimed Sow "dreams" of playing in the English top-flight. But, it seems, that will not be with Forest.

German outlet Bild say Sow moving to the City Ground is "out of the question" and suggest he would be looking for a club further up the Premier League table.

While it remains unclear which league the Reds will be playing in next season, transfer plans for the summer are sure to be well advanced as the club to look learn lesson from its first season back in the Premier League this century.
