Nottingham Forest had a welcome boost to their hopes of staying in the Premier League beyond this season on Monday as they climbed out of the relegation zone.
A rollercoaster 4-3 win over bottom-of-the-table Southampton saw Forest climb above relegation rivals Leicester City and Everton and into 16th place in the table. The win put Steve Cooper's men three points above Leicester in 18th place following the Foxes' 5-3 loss against Fulham just a few hours earlier.
Forest are next in action this weekend when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Points from that game could move the team further away from the relegation zone ahead of the final two matches of the season.

Teams have now have three games of the campaign remaining, with teams down at the bottom scrapping for every single point available in order to try to move away from the relegation zone as much as possible. West Ham's win over Man United moved them further away from danger, while Southampton are now on the brink of relegation.
That means that it realistically remains two teams from four who could join Southampton in the Championship next season. With that in mind, here is a look at the run-ins remaining for the bottom five teams.
