Nottingham Forest supporters are keeping their fingers crossed that the injury which saw midfielder Cheikhou Kouyaté stretched off while playing for Senegal at the World Cup against the Netherlands isn't as bad as it looks.
The 32-year-old collided with Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong in a rather innocuous-looking incident but could not continue and had to be stretchered off with just over a quarter of an hour remaining in the country's first group game at the tournament. Kouyaté has been a key contributor for Steve Cooper 's side as of late, and any absence of his would be a blow for the Reds.
Forest fans are hoping that the injury is not a serious one and won't impact them once their season resumes in a month's time. Here is a selection of the social media reaction to Kouyaté leaving the pitch on a stretcher.

Gareth D: Fingers crossed Kouyaté is alright, he’s been quality in recent weeks for us, would be a huge shame to lose him to injury for any lengthy period of time.
Lee Clarke: Hope Kouyaté is good. Been brilliant for us this season...
Caitlan Emmas: The Netherlands only scored because Kouyaté went off.
Dave Holmes: Ah! Not good for Kouyaté, hoping it's not as serious as it looked and he can be back after the break. At least we have Mangala and O’Brien ready to step up and get a run of games if needed.
Adam Edwards: Big Cheik stretchered off. Hope it's not as bad as it looks for him and for Forest. Key player.
Amber Grebby: Hope it’s nothing serious.
