Nottingham Forest face transfer competition for Chelsea winger

Crystal Palace are set to rival Nottingham Forest for the signature of Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi, it is claimed.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the City Ground with reports claiming that the Blues want £10 million for the former England international.

Hudson-Odoi spent the second half of the season on-loan at German club Bayer Leverkusen but was unable to make an impact in the Bundesliga having provided just a single assist whilst failing to score during his time there.

The winger is scheduled to return to Chelsea's training ground when pre-season begins this summer. New Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino begins work at the West London club on July 1.

And Forest are no longer the only side to have been linked with a move for the talented forward. London World claim that Palace have also registered their interest in Hudson-Odoi.

The report also states that a move to Selhurst Park may be more appealing for the young winger. A move to Palace would allow him to remain in London which could tilt the balance if he has a straight choice between the two clubs.

Hudson-Odoi rose through Chelsea's youth academy before making his first senior appearance for the Blues during in 2018 during an FA Cup clash against Newcastle United. He has made over 70 appearances for the West London side.
