Nottingham Forest will reportedly have to pay out an extra £5 million to Wolves if they avoid relegation, as part of the deal to sign Morgan Gibbs-White last summer.
The 23-year-old has been influential in midfield since joining Steve Cooper's side from Wolves last summer. He has scored four goals alongside eight assists in 33 Premier League appearances this season.
His performances have played a key role in Forest's survival bid as they currently sit three points clear of the relegation zone. Gibbs-White scored a penalty during the Reds' vital 4-3 win over Southampton on Monday.

And now The Telegraph claim that the deal to bring him to the City Ground last summer was worth a potential £42.5m although they report it is unlikely that Forest will ever have to pay those numbers having initially paid £25m.
As part of the deal, they claim Wolves will be due an extra £5m if the Reds stay up this season. Another instalment is related to the number of starts he makes.
Other incentives they claim include promotion to the England senior team, which will take the cost closer towards £35 million. A reported instalment related to Forest qualifying for the Champions League may never be triggered.
Gibbs-White is also reportedly highly regarded within the Football Association, after playing in all of the junior levels up to the under-21s. Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate considered promoting Gibbs-White to his squad in March and has admitted he is “watching him closely”, according to the report.
