Nottingham Forest will reportedly face competition from Fenerbahce for defender Alexander Djiku.
The 28-year-old is a free agent as his deal with Strasbourg officially expired at the end of June. The Reds are reportedly keen to secure his services, but they face competition for his signature.
It has been claimed that Lille had approached the player’s agent about a possible move. Besiktas’ management are also said to have travelled to France in May to meet with the man himself and discuss the prospect of a summer switch, while Trabzonspor and TSG Hoffenheim were also credited with an interest.
And now FootMercato claim that another Turkish side have joined the race to sign Djiku. They claim that "Fenerbahce has just entered the business."

The report claims that Fenerbache "have made an offer to the defender." The report goes on to say that "Djiku hasn't made his decision yet and intends to take his time."
Fenerbache finished second in the last Turkish SuperLig last season and recently signed former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko. It is claimed that they "present a great project" in their attempt to sign Dijku.
Forest are yet to make any new additions to their squad so far this summer but their first piece of transfer business has been striker Chris Wood, joining permanently from Newcastle United. He spent the second half of last season on loan at the City Ground.
