Everton could be set to rival Nottingham Forest for the signing of former Wolves centre-back Romain Saiss, it is claimed.
The 33-year-old has spent the past season playing his football in the Turkish Superlig for Besitkas. He made 26 appearances across all competitions for them.
Saiss has been linked with a move to the City Ground for some time with the Moroccan international spending six years at Molineux before moving to Turkey last summer.

But now according to claims by French outlet Foot Mercato, Everton are interested in signing him as well as the Reds. The Moroccan defender is expected to leave Besiktas this summer and reportedly wants to stay in Europe despite a lucrative offer from Qatar.
Saiss could provide some valuable Premier League experience at the heart of the Forest defence next season. However, with Felipe, Worrall and Niakhate the settled centre-back trio at the City Ground he may find more opportunities for game time at Goodison Park.
The report also claims that Saiss wants to remain in a top league ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations and the next World Cup in 2026.
