Nottingham Forest could face competition from Aston Villa if they are to pursue an interest in Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams.
Forest have been linked with the USA international, with speculation growing that he cculd move on after Leeds were relegated from the Premier League. Adams signed for Leeds from RB Leipzig last summer for a reported £20m and made 24 league appearances last season despite missing the run in because of a hamstring injury.
Adams has four years left on his contract but a drop into the Championship, with relegation confirmed on the final day, has left question marks over whether the Yorkshire side can hang on to key players.
If Forest go for him then they can expect some heavyweight competition, at least according to the Athletic who say Adams is an outside name to keep an eye on as regards Aston Villa transfer targets.

They say: “The central midfielder, 24, captained the USMNT at the World Cup and is expected to leave Leeds this summer following relegation. Villa have him on a list of potential options.”
Forest have been linked with a number of players ahead of the transfer window opening on June 14. They would love to bring goalkeeper Dean Henderson back from Manchester United and are also looking at strikers.
