Nottingham Forest confirm triple fixture switch as Arsenal decision made

Three Nottingham Forest games have been rearranged ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The club have confirmed that two home games - against Sheffield United on August 19 and Burnley on September 16 - have been rearranged due to schedule clashes with cricket at Trent Bridge, meaning the games have been given new dates.

Forest will now host Sheffield United on Friday, August 18 (7:45pm); while the game against Burnley will now be played on Monday, September 18 at 7:45pm. These are because of a Trent Rockets double-header and Royal London One-Day Cup Final both taking place at Trent Bridge.

Two further games have been rescheduled for live television broadcast in the UK. The Reds' game against Brentford at the City Ground has been moved, and will now take place on Sunday, October 1 at 2pm. It has been pushed back from the previous day and will now be shown live on Sky Sports.

The opening day trip to face Arsenal in north London will be screened on TNT Sports, formerly known as BT Sport, on Saturday, August 12. That fixture has not been rescheduled, however.

It comes after more disruptive fixture news for Forest, with confirmation that Reds fans will not be able to attend the summer friendly against PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
