Nottingham Forest have announced that young midfielder Billy Fewster has joined National League side Scunthorpe United on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is a regular for the club’s development side and made the step up to the first team for the first time this season. The teenager started the FA Cup third round clash against Blackpool earlier this year.
Fewster will now look to build up his experience of first team football more with Scunthorpe as they look to turn their season around. The Iron are currently in 23rd place in the National League, and are four point adrift of safety.

The midfielder joined Forest from Leeds United back in the summer of 2021, after seven years with the Whites. He has been a regular in first team training this season.
Scunthorpe have confirmed that 'highly-rated' Fewster will be available to make his debut tomorrow (Friday) when they take on Barnet at Glanford Park at 7:45pm. The game will be new manager Jimmy Dean’s first game in charge of the club since taking over.
The club have also been recently saved from a winding up order after a takeover by businessman David Hilton in recent days. The signing comes after a transfer embargo was lifted on Wednesday, with the club announcing a signing on the hour every hour between 9am and 3pm today.
