Striker Chris Wood has become Nottingham Forest’s third signing of the January transfer window.
The Reds have confirmed a loan move for the Newcastle United man for the second half of the season. The deal includes an obligation to buy in the summer, for a fee said to be in the region of £15 million, which will come into effect if certain clauses are met - likely to include the club avoiding relegation. If a permanent contract is activated, it would run until the summer of 2024.
The forward will wear the number 39 shirt for Forest. He has been registered in time to feature for Steve Cooper's side against Bournemouth on Saturday, although given his lack of training time with his new teammates it is unlikely he will start at least.
