Player ratings from Wembley
The Reds ended a 23-year absence from the top-flight as they beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 in the play-offs final at Wembley.
The atmosphere at Wembley was electric before kick-off. A spine-tingling rendition of Mull of Kintyre and a brilliant Forza Garibaldi display had the away end rocking.

And there was a mighty roar just before the interval when the Reds took the lead. It looked as though the teams were going to go in at the break all-square, but Garner popped up with a touch of class to break the deadlock.
Keinan Davis played his part in the build-up, then the Manchester United loanee delivered a peach of a ball into the box. Jack Colback ducked under it, and Levi Colwill put the ball into his own net under pressure from Ryan Yates.
With 15 minutes to go, Forest’s nerves were on edge as VAR checked for a possible penalty. Harry Toffolo was booked for diving as Colback stuck out a leg, and the video check agreed no foul had taken place.
They had to survive an injury to Brice Samba as the final whistle neared. But the Reds came through it and ended a magical season with promotion to the top-flight.

Amid incredible scenes at Wembley as the Reds returned to the top flight since they were relegated in 1999, Worrall spoke to Sky Sports and gave his verdict on a wonderful afternoon.
"We’ve been really good," he said. "It’s not just this season. I’m not saying we’ve been good in other seasons, because we haven’t, we’ve been s*ite. A lot of people come and go but they’ve all played a part. It’s such an honour to captain Forest.”

Steve Cooper makes brilliant statement after Reds seal promotion
Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper said the Reds deserved their promotion to the Premier League as he admitted the club has "changed his life".
The turnaround at the City Ground since Cooper arrived at the club has been second to none. Forest were rock bottom of the Championship when he arrived in September and after two previous failures in the play-offs, the former Swansea City boss has finally put his fortunes right.
Asked whether he could put Forest's achievement into words, Cooper responded: "Probably not. Maybe I will be a bit more articulate in a couple of days. I am really pleased for the players. Really pleased for the supporters.
Huddersfield Town boss issues surprise response to Nottingham Forest VAR controversy
Huddersfield Town boss Carlos Corberan refused to criticise the officials after his side were caught up in a VAR controversy in their Championship play-off final defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The Terriers felt they should have had two penalties when Harry Toffolo appeared to be brought down by Jack Colback while Lewis O'Brien had a similar appeal.
VAR ruled there were no offences committed despite strong reaction on social media which led to former Chelsea captain John Terry insisting the Terriers had been hard done by.
But Corberan refused to blast referee Jon Moss and the VAR officials and instead gave a classy response to questions about the decisions.
Djed Spence sends cheeky jibe at Neil Warnock after sealing promotion
Djed Spence has sent a personal message to his former manager Neil Warnock after helping Nottingham Forest return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a tremendous loan spell at the City Ground after joining the club on loan from Championship rivals Middlesbrough at the start of the season.
Spence has made 46 appearances for the Reds this season and could now join Steve Cooper's side on a permanent basis after they defeated Huddersfield Town at Wembley Stadium to confirm promotion to the Premier League.
It has been claimed that Forest had 'quiet optimism' of keeping Spence at the club, with the Guardian saying that the club "are confident at least two of the loanees will return in some capacity."
Warnock, who sent Spence on loan to Forest when he was in charge of Middlesbrough, told talkSPORT breakfast in January the reason he sent the wing-back away from the Riverside. He said: "I let him go. He needed to sort himself out, really."
