Nottingham Forest boss Warren Joyce names his team to face Man United in FA Youth Cup final

Head coach Warren Joyce has named his Nottingham Forest Under-18s team for the FA Youth Cup final.

The Reds have made it through to the showpiece event for the first time in the club’s history. And they take on Manchester United in front of a record crowd at Old Trafford this evening, as the teams battle to lift the trophy.

Forest made it through to the final by seeing off Chelsea in the last-four, on a dramatic night at the City Ground last month. They are also on a 13-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

Joyce makes one change to the side which saw off the Blues in the semi-finals, with Justin Hanks replacing Jack Nadin in the starting XI. The visitors are set to line up in a 4-3-3 formation.

Making up the Forest team are goalkeeper Aaron Bott, Zach Abbott, Ben Hammond, Pharrell Johnson, Kyle McAdam, Jamie McDonnell, Josh Powell, Sam Collins, Esapa Osong, Dale Taylor and Hanks. On the substitutes’ bench are Alex Akers, Jack Perkins, Jack Thompson, Ben Perry, Jack Nadin, Joe Gardner, Aaron-Jay Korpal and Lewis Barker.

The occasion is set to see the highest final attendance for the tournament, with more than 62,000 tickets sold - including almost 5,500 to Forest fans.

Forest: Bott, Abbott, McAdam, Hammond, Johnson, Hanks, Powell, McDonnell, Osong, Taylor, Collins. Subs: Akers, Perkins, Thompson, Perry, Nadin, Gardner, Korpal, Barker.

United: Vitek, Jurado, Murray, Jackson, Bennett, Mainoo, Mather, Gore, McNeill, hansen, Garnacho. Subs: Wooster, Pye, Forson, Aljofree, Oyedele, Hugill, Ennis.
