There will be no fighting for the ball whenever Nottingham Forest are awarded a penalty while striker Lewis Grabban is out injured.
Brennan Johnson scored from the spot on Wednesday night to seal a 2-0 victory for the Reds at Blackburn Rovers, with the three points lifting them into the top six for the first time this season.
Grabban is designated taker when he is fit, but Forest’s top scorer is currently facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Forward Sam Surridge had won the penalty in stoppage time at Ewood Park, with the deadline day signing making an impact from off the bench.
Fellow front man Keinan Davis had been brought off by that point, but even if he was still on the pitch, boss Steve Cooper has made clear who will step up from 12 yards.
“Brennan is on penalties now if he is on the pitch,” said the Welshman, ahead of tomorrow's clash with Stoke City.
“If he’s not, then we’ll be very clear on who else is on. There will be none of that fighting for the ball or looking over to the bench to see who’s taking it.
“Brennan is on penalties as it stands.”
The 20-year-old showed great composure to slot the ball past Thomas Kaminski in the dying moments of the midweek clash.
That was his ninth goal of an increasingly impressive campaign in the Garibaldi.
Cooper grinned: “As long as it hits the net, I don’t care how he does it! It’s the outcome that is important.
“It was good timing. He’d committed to how he wanted to take the penalty, and it was a good one.”
