Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth go 'at it' in late transfer race for Blackpool's Josh Bowler

Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth are currently going "at it" in the race to sign Blackpool's Josh Bowler as the deadline day race to sign the winger continues.

The Reds were reportedly edging ever closer to a deal to sign the former Everton wide man as they look to complete their business for the final time this season.

But in an interview with Radio Lancashire, Sun reporter Alan Nixon says Bournemouth are challenging Forest in a bid to get a deal over the line before the 11pm deadline.

As cited by our colleagues at Lancashire Live, they report: "Alan Nixon suggesting to Radio Lancs that Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are both 'at it' in terms of bidding for Josh Bowler, and they are potentially getting closer to a deal being done.

"Also that Cameron Brannagan and Oliver Norburn are still potentially live as we head late into the window."

Ironically, Blackpool are targeting a deal for Manchester City's Morgan Rogers who is currently on loan at the Cherries which appears to indicate that Bowler could be leaving.

Rogers is a winger and was a previous target for Forest who look set to sign striker Sam Surridge from Stoke in a £2m deal while Jonathan Panzo is expected to arrive before the 11pm deadline from Dijon.
