Nottingham City Transport (NCT) bus drivers will all pull over to the side of the road on Wednesday afternoon (February 15) in a tribute to a colleague. The bus company said drivers across the city would pause at 2pm on to observe a minute's silence in memory of a friend and colleague, referred to only by the bus company as Martin.
NCT said he had died recently, and drivers would pull over in his memory where it is safe to do so. NCT said in a statement on social media: "We will be observing a minute's silence today, Wednesday 15th February, at 14:00 in memory of a colleague and friend Martin, who recently passed away.
"Our drivers will pull over to the side of the road, where it is safe to do so." NCT is the biggest transport operator in Nottingham, with 300 buses providing a comprehensive network of services across the city, seven days a week.
