Traditionally, Boxing Day is one of the busiest days of the year for retail. Each year, retailers launch their post-Christmas sales on December 26, attempting to entice bargain-hunters back to the shops in search of cut-price deals.
However, not all retailers open on Boxing Day. Many outlets have chosen to give staff December 26 off work, allowing them to recuperate after the festivities of Christmas Day - and the hectic run-up to the big day itself - and spend time with loved ones.
If you’re planning on going out and about around Nottingham on the hunt for bargains this Boxing Day, then, it’s wise to check which shops are open before you do so. Here’s our guide to which big-name retailers will be open for business on December 26.
