Notting Hill pub where mobile phones are banned called out over noisy staff parties

A West London pub where mobile phones are banned has been called out over noisy staff parties taking place on its roof terrace.

The Earl of Lonsdale, close to Notting Hill Gate Station, is part of the Samuel Smith brewery chain which has a ban on phones, laptops or other technology. Samuel Smith calls their pubs a “haven from the digital world”, playing neither music nor using TVs in their venues.
