MUMBAI: Former first-class cricketer Hemu Dalvi, who coached the likes of India's 1983 World Cup hero Balwinder Singh Sandhu and India's bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, passed away at his Dahisar residence on Friday morning at the age of 82. He was suffering from kidney-related issues.
A swing bowler, Dalvi, who played most of his cricket in Mumbai, represented Railways in the Ranji Trophy.
