Not Going Out will pay tribute to Bobby Ball in an hilarious fashion later this month.
Almost two years on from his death, the late star will appear on the BBC sitcom once again - in the form of a comical oil painting.
The actor and comedian sadly passed away at the age of 76 in October 2020, after testing positive for Covid-19.
Prior to his sad death, the TV legend had appeared in the hit BBC sitcom for over 10 years - playing Lee Mack's character's father.
Frank first appeared as a guest star in Not Going Out, before becoming a regular fixture on screen from the sixth series onwards.
Airing on BBC One later this month, Frank will feature on the sitcom once again, when Wendy (Deborah Grant) attempts to paint him.
As the picture shows, Lucy (Sally Bretton) and Lee (Lee Mack) aren't too impressed with Wendy's art skills.
Last year, lead actor Lee, 53, outlined his plans to pay tribute to his late co-star in the new series of Not Going Out.
Bobby last appeared in the 11th series of the show, which premiered in January 2021, and was filmed a few weeks prior to his death.
Speaking shortly after the star's death, Lee mused kicking starting the next series of Not Going Out with Bobby's character passing away.
"I’m thinking of starting the next series with a funeral," he told Paul Kerensa, in an interview for a medical fundraiser in January 2021.
"And Tommy — I’m thinking of having him as the priest, and also bring some comics of that generation."
He added: "Bring in all his mates, as in my dad’s mates, who I’ve never met. That will be the story. I want to see a scene which opens up with Sid Little, Freddie Parrot-Face Davies, and the like, all just sitting round. It would be marvellous."
The 76-year-old comedian died on October 28 2020 after being admitted to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with breathing problems following testing positive for Covid-19.
Bobby was one half of the comedy duo alongside his long-time friend and colleague Tommy Cannon.
In addition to appearing in Not Going Out, the late TV legend starred in sitcoms like Not Going Out, Last of the Summer Wine, Benidorm and Heartbeat.
After his sad passing, Not Going Out's Lee was among those that led tributes to his co-star, writing at the time: "I'm utterly shocked and devastated to lose my mate Bobby like this.
"I filmed with him just a few weeks ago and he was his usual funny and cheeky self.
"My thoughts are with Yvonne and his family and of course Tommy.
"To get to work with one of my childhood comedy heroes was great. But to call him a friend was even better. Rest In Peace Bobby x".
