Vancouver Whitecaps FC’s future on Canada's west coast appears to be in more doubt after CEO and sporting director Axel Schuster painted a bleak picture of the club’s future at the government-owned BC Place, with prospects of outside investment also slim.
Speaking with reporters on less than two hours’ notice, Schuster struck a downbeat tone, a stark contrast to his previous comments about the team, which has been listed for sale since December 2024.
