Nostradamus made scary predictions for 2023 with reference to a World War Three event.
If the famous philosopher is to be believed, the Ukrainian conflict could bring about a 'great war' next year.
The Frenchman, known as Michel de Nostradame, also referenced the "light on Mars failing" which some believe is referring to our efforts to colonise the red planet.
It comes amid SpaceX founder and Tesla CEO Elon Musk's plans for humans to land on Mars before 2030.
Nostradamus made thousands of predictions for the future in his book Les Prophéties which was released more than 450 years ago.
His work has been credited with forecasting events from the rise of Hitler to the shooting of JFK and the 9/11 attacks, reports the Daily Star.
The French writer also predicted a string of doomsday events for 2022 including an asteroid strike, inflation and starvation and AI robots taking over the world.
While all of these are yet to occur, there are still nine months left of the year and his predictions for 2023 are even more horrifying.
Nostradamus wrote: "Seven months of the Great War, people dead of evil-doing. Rouen, Evreux shall not fall to the King."
His message could refer to a World War conflict stemming from the conflict in Ukraine, following the harsh sanctions and nuclear threats made so far.
However the French city of Rouen, 125 miles from Calais, would remain safe according to the prophet.
Nostradamus also refers to a "Celestial fire on the Royal edifice."
Some believe this could refer to the "end of times" or the start of a new world order.
Meanwhile, his predictions for outer space could allude to Musk's plans to land on Mars.
His prediction of "light on Mars failing" could suggest that humanity will fail in its efforts to colonise the planet.
While others say it refers to the planet going into retrograde motion as it seems to be moving backwards in space.
