NEW YORK — The Sky didn’t have any picks in Monday’s WNBA draft, but there was still a local presence.
The Dallas Wings took Northwestern guard Veronica Burton with the seventh pick in the first round. Burton averaged 17.8 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Wildcats this season and was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season.
