A North East hospital trust has been ranked amongst the very best for postnatal care in the country.
In a national survey produced by the The Care Quality Commission (CQC) last year, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust came third in the country for their 'Care in hospital after birth', according to new mother's experiences of maternity care in England.
The responses also showed that Northumbria Healthcare were also ‘better’ than most for the ‘Care at home after birth’ section, where it was ranked fifth.
