The owners of a Northumberland guest house have been delighted by the reaction to their appearance on Four in a Bed and have seen a huge increase in bookings since their appearance on the daytime TV show this week, in which they ended up finishing in a very respectable second place.
Steve and Maria Turnbull hosted their competitors at Crackin' View Guest House and Holiday Cottages on Tuesday night's episode of the Channel 4 programme, and say they have had at least 50 bookings since from all over the UK.
Crackin' View got great feedback on the night, despite host Steve dropping a 'clanger with a banger,' and came as runners up to Helen and Lauren's North Kingsfield Cottages in Fraisthorpe, Yorkshire, who Steve admits were deserving winners.

He said: "I think they had a lovely place. Absolutely. Their place was excellent. It was nothing like ours - theirs was self catering, ours is a full guest house with breakfast.
"You're not marking like for like, it's just if you like each individual place, and theirs was clean, nice and they were lovely people."
Steve and Maria do have reason to feel aggrieved after payment day though. After travelling to Lanehead in Allendale on Tuesday, all three competitors said they would stay at Crackin' View again, awarding the couple full marks for their hosting.
Though a couple of points were docked on facilities for not having full length mirrors in the bathroom nor having full length hanging space for clothes, these were hardly issues that would ruin a holiday.
However, Ali and Serge of the Domo Boutique Hotel in Birmingham underpaid Steve and Maria by £7, with their 'lack of facilities' reason unconvincing to viewers.
At least a poor showing on their night meant that their tactic backfired, leaving them in third place.
Steve said: "They were badly marked by everyone. They were lambasted on social media on their night because they were extremely rude to everyone and didn't want to listen to any comments."
"I did ask them off air why they'd done it (underpaid) and they said it was because we were a threat and they wanted to win. But that's backfired on them and what they were trying to do."
But for Steve, it was never about winning. He said: "All in all, it was a good laugh we really enjoyed it. It wasn't about the winning, it was about the taking part and getting our name out there which is exactly what we've done. When I've been looking on social media, it seems like everyone loves the Geordies. Job done - long may all the bookings last."
The couple have also made an impact in their local area too. Steve finished saying: "We've been stopped by everyone wanting selfies and autographs. Everyone says we've done the area proud."
Since the programme was filmed, Steve has installed a swimming pool and sauna at Crackin' View, which is open to the four bed and breakfast rooms and holiday cottage on site. To find out more, visit Crackin' View's website.
