The Northern Ireland manufacturing sector is managing to grow despite rising costs, Brexit and a lack of skilled labour.
That is the message from the latest survey from industry body Manufacturing NI and law firm Tughans which found that more than half of manufacturing businesses in the province reported growth so far this year.
The expansion comes despite the sector facing strong headwinds, particularly around Brexit with the “unpreparedness and unwillingness” of suppliers in Great Britain to adapt to new regulations continuing to leave many businesses ham strung.
