Former Northern Ireland goalkeeper Pat Jennings has been made a CBE in the New Year Honours List.
The 77-year-old, who played 119 international matches for Northern Ireland in an international career which lasted for over 22 years, was one of several people from the world of sport to be honoured.
Jennings made over 1,000 top level appearances for Watford, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal as well as playing for his country at two World Cup finals in Spain in 1982 and Mexico four years later in 1986 when aged 41.

He held the record for the oldest goalkeeper to play at the finals until 2014 when he was succeeded by Colombian Faryd Mondragón.
Newry-born Jennings was also the record appearance holder for Northern Ireland until current captain Steven Davis overtook him on 8 October 2020.
Another Northern Ireland captain, Gail Redmond, has been awarded the MBE.
Redmond played 25 times for her country as well playing in America and locally with Glentoran.
She is now the Women's Development Manager at the Irish FA Foundation.
Elsewhere, Peter Jack from Limavady has been awarded the OBE for services to Endurance Sport and Charity in Northern Ireland.
Northern Irish international lawn and indoor bowler Sandra Bailie has been awarded the MBE For services to Bowls.
Peter Vannucci, Vice-President, Bangor Football Club, has been awarded the BEM for services to Association Football in County Down.
William Kennedy, who is a Director at Aisling Counselling Centre and a coach, Enniskillen Royal Boat Club has also been awarded a BEM For voluntary service to the community in County Fermanagh.
