At the beginning of April new prices and tariffs were announced by the energy providers across Northern Ireland.
While some suppilers have announced tariff decreases, with the Energy Price Guarantee scheme now offering less support than before April 1, it means that many households will see their bills increase.
Households are now paying roughly £100 more per year for their energy as a result of the changes, adding further pressures to those struggling with the Cost of Living Crisis.

In order to help our readers decide what the best supplier for them is, Belfast Live has created a summary of the most recent prices from April 1, from the Consumer Council's price comparison tables.
There are some suppilers who offer 12 month discounts for switching to their accounts, with rates increasing after this time.
